History

Dustin's racing roots began in karting. In 1994 at age 10, he started racing 4-cycle karts on paved sprint or road course tracks. Dustin has competed in 4-cycle, 2-cycle, Shifter and TAG classes. No matter what class he was running the more technical the track the better he liked it. When time allowed, Dustin was also very successful on dirt oval tracks.

The year 2007 was a year of change for Dustin and an exciting year in competition. He made his first début in full-bodied racing vehicles at Colorado National Speedway (CNS), making 2007 not only Dustin’s Rookie year in the Pro Truck division at CNS but also his rookie year in full-bodies racing vehicles.

The competition is great in the CNS Pro Truck division with such renowned veterans as Richard Burton, Ronnie Hults, Beau Kellogg, Billy Harkins and Chris Leaf as well as a host of other great competitors.  The field of Pro Trucks at CNS in 2007 averaged approximately 20 entries per event, which provided exciting racing for the fans.  About half the field at CNS in the Pro Truck Division had the Rookie status during the 2007 season.

As a ProTruck rookie in 2007 Dustin did extremely well holding his own, competing with the top CNS Pro Truck competitors. As of the September 22nd event Dustin locked up the Pro Truck Rookie of the Year honors.  He also placed 4th place in season points.

If not for the support and comitment of various businesses there would not be any racing for DRC Motorsports. A VERY sincere thank-you goes out to all our sponsors.  Please click on the Sponsors link in the left side bar and support these businesses and organizations if you are in need of their products or services.  These are ethical and customer orientated companies who will  certainly treat you right.
